PS3 Fat 60GB
PS3 Fat 80GB
PS3 Fat 160GB
PS3 Slim 120GB
PS3 Slim 160GB
PS3 Slim 250GB
PS3 Slim 320GB

Hi, i'm happy with my slim 160gb you can upgrade the hd to this if u need a bigger space: Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD7500BPVT 750GB <--- not sure about 1tb atm, but to be honest i'm doing fine with my internal 160 plus my external :P my two cents.

Then based on that I would personally go with a 320gb slim (depending on price difference from other slims) since I don't mind not having backwards compatibility. It really comes down to budget, and what you want/don't want out of the console (such as backwards compatibility, higher chance of ylod, etc).

The older fat models may of had a higher chance of ylod'ing but you also have to think that the ylod in a fat console was still a one in a million chance (yes, over exaggeration) when compared to a 360... of any model. The fat consoles such as the 80gb also had card readers for different camera and printer cards along with 4 usb ports instead of two... thats not to mention the backwards compatibility to allow playing ps2 games. I guess if you dont care about any of that then a slim console would be best since they have larger hdds. I upgraded my 80gb fat with a 640gb drive though and its still running strong with no ylod or any other issues for that matter. I like it much better then the slim I have for online play.

Maybe CECH2100&CECH2500 is better choice.
Part of the fat models have 256MB NAND which different to the newer ones and the slims (16MB).
That may cause problems when you update CFW.And the fat ones have more risk of YLOD.

Only the 20GB, 60GB, and the first 80GB models have 4 USB ports...the rest of the fat models are the same as the slims in all specs.

The only 80GB models that have the extra USB ports and PS2 game support are the ones starting with "CECHE"
