retro consoles
Is it possible to have a "Retro Consoles/Computers" section in the "Other Platform Scene" part?
I collect all early handhelds, consoles and non-standard-ibm computers from the '70's, '80's and early '90's. And I think I have a very big collection (like about 50 different pong consoles, 100 chess computers, all kind of consoles and computers, Amiga's, Commodore, Tandy, TI, MSX, Atari, Nintendo, Bandai, Tomy, Namco and god knows what else....), and yes, I have the space for that also. I have got a ZX-81 (American version Timex) donated to me with 16k RAM module lately. Nice in the original boxes with original manuals and working. It (not this one, it was the only one I ever sold to buy my next computer and I regretted that always) was the first real computer I ever used. I am really happy with this one back in my collection. Looking at the emulator scene I think more people like to have a section to talk about early consoles they owned or still own. No emulator talk but only retro hardware talk. Is it possible Pirate? Edit, yesterday I bought a very cheap double screen Nintendo handheld (black one, Pinnball) I didn't have at the local dump. (€2,- )Edit2: One of the most loved items in my collection is the Bandai Algas robot handheld, brand new in a box with original sealed plastic on the box, never opened and about 30 years old ![]() If I post 1 picture a day I can keep the section alive for the next decade or something ![]() (I have plans for building my own museum site, only need some professional photograph equipment to make professional pictures without shadows etc. Once the site is ready (that will take a long time) I will let ya all know

I'm starting to collect myself (slowly) from carboot sales, starting from newest to oldest. My gameboy colour is getting more use than my xbox at the moment.

I wonder, do you have an Amstrad CPC 6128?

I think I have a Schneider somewhere, I think it is the same as Amstrad but an earlier model
![]() I used the Amstrad/Schneider RGB monitor that came with it on an Amiga 500 after changing the connector to the Amiga 23-pins video connector. It has a short gray video curly cable like an old telephone horn cable as I remember with original 5 pins connector? ![]() Just ordered this light set with tent: http://www.mafoma.nl/products.php?pr...7B47%7D2x2.00m :P

Received my light tent with 2 tripods and daylight bulbs today
![]() I ordered a 1m20 size but that one was sold out and they delivered me a 1m50 size in stead..... better, but it needs more space also ![]() I'll take some pics from some consoles this weekend for testing. I'll post some results if I am satisfied with them...

Yes, I had no idea the Schneider was the same thing!
http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=111 An Amiga in "green screen" would be funny to see. My older "464" had the green monochrome monitor but I upgraded to colour for my 6128. Many fond memories. :D

First of was better to bring up this thread instead of starting the same.
Since there is polls and discussion about wii and vita categories, could we set a poll up or even just add a category for retro consoles and retro console hacks If a mod is required id volunteer for the section if not am sure anyone else on this thread or collectors on here would help out.Old news i know but i don't have a site to talk about retro hacks and things. I know there is a few out there but i visit here almost everyday. Also my favorite console hacking site. |

The only old console I would really be interested in is the virtual boy...all the others have PC emulators. Too bad the flash carts are $130 each.

lol, I am just sorting and re-organizing my collection. Just finished the LCD handhelds/table tops (Nintendo, Gakken, Tandy, Tomy, Bandai, Sega (McDonalds), Tiger, Commodoor etc. I didn't count them jet but I think I have around 400 or 500 of them including about 100 different Brick (the 1-999 games in 1) LCD games
![]() Started with the early consoles/Pong today. Just sorted the Philips consoles (P2000, G7000, G7100, Odyssey 2001, Odyssey 2100, Philips Las Vegas etc.). Have a lot of work to do before I am finished, The LCD's took more than a week ![]() ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* ![]() ************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
