i will call the guy who applied the thermal paste tomorrow and see how much it is... if its too expensive i will bake my ps3 and pray for it works normal again :D

no offense, but man up and oven bake that board, apply your own paste, and enjoy. I mean the fix doesn't get much easier, you have excellent videos to watch, there is great support here, so save yourself the money and DIY, unless you like to get raped :/

did the reflow last week, following the YT vids.
ps3 works just fine again :D

ordered heat gun with repair kit off ebay for under 20eur!

if you actually want to fix it with a more permanent solution (reflowing with a heat gun really just warps the motherboard and only fixes the problem for a few months if that) you should find someone to reball the gpu for you.

btw, even though they are both pretty haggard fixes, the "over bake" method is FAR worse than the heatgun one. FYI.

seriously, idk how anyone can actually recommend it.

I wouldn't fancy sticking mines in the oven though if I had yold I think id just try it as id be looking a new ps3 soon anyway, just hope it comes out better then my pizza did last night lol or im f***ed lol

nah i talked to the guy and he can make me a reflow for 50 reais... its like 20-25 dollars, so i will fix it this or the other weekend and see the results...
playing gta today and bam freezed again but audio continued...
