So I have my wii at 3.2 with all the hacks on it, now what i want is to see if anyone has the sd card menu like 4.0 but on a 3.2 wii because if I remember correctly upgrading from 3.2 is a no-no

you can update to 4.3 i update every wii to 4.3 before i hack it

use this http://please.hackmii.com/ to install the homebrew chan on 4.3
then download this http://www.filesonic.com/file/2633666554/Archive.zip and extract it to the root of an sd card. then turn on your wii if it doesnt boot into it then go into the homebrew chan and tell it to boot bootmii. then you want to go to wads and select install all. you should then be good to go

How will that affect cIOS and the other IOS hacks I have? I'm not a pirate, I make legitimate backups of games I own because I like how I can play everything from the unit hooked up to a USB drive with all MY ripped isos, that and does it also affect my wad manager, I used wad manager to install some virtual console wads because while I still play my 64, my NES etc etc, I still had wads installed on my wii just in case.... I'm the kind of person who believes if you can do it all on one system and still have physical copies of games then it's no longer piracy, it's enjoying your stuff smartly. If only I could do the same goal on ps3 3.73 but that's another story.


Really appreciate the help pbanj and if it's too much to answer you can link me to the tut you followed. I tried googling but I'm not sure which one works, I don't want a brick.

I use that guide too, they have a section to upgrade Ur existing mod although I never tried it. I think it's in the wads section.

Here is a package I made for my uncle awhile back, I think its really user friendly as my uncle is complete noob. You should be able to follow the steps.
I made them myself so if you decide to give it a go, but have questions I'll try and answer anything you might have.

Same here. Been using it for the last couple years or so and hacked probably over 50 Wii's with no problems. Grab an app called "Pimp my wii". Just got done playing a back-up copy of MW3 online on mine. It's awesome with the zapper.

Ok thanks guys, managed to upgrade wii and retain all the settings and darkcorp I had, now I can use sdhc cards which was what I was going for since nintendo thought it would be funny to limit storage to a 512 MB NAND. Everything seems to work flawlessly.... Edit: no it doesn't, read below.

Looks like I'm not out of the woods yet, somehow it refuses to play movies (it's not important since I can watch dvd's on other devices but still would like my DVDs to play... When I went to check bootmii to see if dvdx needed tweaking I found out bootmii was no longer there.... Priiloader says bootmii isn't there... Which is weird because I used bootmii to install wads necessary to bump the unit from 3.2 to 4.1


Edit: so the DVD thing was fixed, I needed a new program, seems the one I was using was outdated, possibly was only compatible with 3.2. But the bootmii thing is still an issue.
