when i was younger i knew a few baptist families who thought every thing was a sin the kid couldnt do a dam thing they where really unhappy i am willing to bet anything those kids did not grow up too well( i lost contact with them when they where 13), i have seen it happen to a lot of people their parents forced religion on them as a kid and ether they ended up in a life of crime and drugs or never talked to their fam again but ether way they lost all religion.
interpreting things a different way is not wrong, every one will take things different ways

you really want to know how i know there is no god, god would not allow children to be molested(especially by "his" men), or women to be raped. im NOT saying god should fix every thing but those are two great evils he could stop.
i lost the last tiny bit of faith i had when i watched my son die, and you know what the religious people had to say about it? he has a plan, oh i bet he does. im sorry if it offends you but when you watch the life drain out of your own flesh and blood you know that there is no god.

and with that im off to bed as its 6am and i have to be up in 3 hrs

LoL...isn't god all-powerful? If so, why would he NEED to do anything to forgive sins? Couldn't he just snap his fingers and be done with it? Maybe god is the horned (music making) one who told Adam and Eve to eat of the tree of knowledge, and Satan is the one calling himself god and creating untold misery and death all over the world?

All sins started with God giving Adam and Eve a free will!

And he wants us to keep our free will! That includes deciding to live our lifes for him through our free will! Otherwise we would be only roboters created by him doing all that he wants. But that wouldn't be what he wants. He wants us to love him because we want to!
And that includes repenting our sins!
What would it help if he just forgave our sins and we didn't know anything about him forgiving them?
Because he wants us to regret them! And thus to change our minds and try not to repeat them!
And YES, he knows that it's impossible for mankind not to sin.

im not trying to convince or convert, like japsander said this is my belief. i simply wish people to read up on their own religion and realize that what it says and what they tell you in church are two different things.
and i was not attacking you but the fact that you made a thread about abortion being like the holocaust f*cking astounded me. oh i know you didnt make the video but you believed it to be true or you would not have posted it. for future reference you post things like this on a religious forum NOT a hacking forum.

i simply wish every to be happy in life and kind to their fellow man, the only problem is religion hinders that by making people hate other people for the stupidest reasons like different/no religion, and homosexuality. you should never hate a group of people for any reason you hate the individual for what he/her has done to YOU, not what they may have done that doesnt follow your religious beliefs.

This is just my thought on god and satan but.. what if God were really the bad guy? And satan was the good guy and god just played a trick on him to take over his throne and the lives of all his people? Banishing satan to hell?

Thought I'd share that. Just a thought I had many months ago.

Why would a god let his people die and suffer? Oh yes, the ultimate reasoning; he/she has a plan for all of us. That's why he lets mass murder, natural disaters, plagues, etc happen.

Satan is just sitting down in hell, pickin his nose cause he can't do anything about his brothers ill wills.
