Using my SDK? Cute. I hope it is real; it'd be a nice foot in the door, even if it is only in PSP mode. I just hope there's more sharing in the Vita community...

Hey

Accoring to wololo, this could be real. At least he's quite sure about it right the moment.
However expoliting the psp emulator on vita does not give hardware access.

There is a nice article posted about this on Wololo's site. Mamasuke is a trusted psp scener acording to Wololo of HBL fame. As pointed out on that site this is interesting but not even a start when it comes to hacking the Vita. It's fun news to read and props to Mamasuke for already making progress.

Oops I see that I was beat to the punch.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Vita uses the same keys as the PS3 V4 firmware. If so cracking the Vita could lead to us PS3 owners being able to play games released in the last 6 months finally.

I guess it is a ray of light... Hopefully Sony does not update the console or patch the game before it gets out to the rest of the world.

@Buggerlugz
I doubt it. At least if they have the brain of a chimp, they would not do that. Last time they left the keys in the PS3, the PSP community got themselves signed homebrew that works on all firmwares (non-kernel level homebrew, but homebrew nonetheless).

You guys, I didn't see anyone post much here, so I thought I should just reply regarding what the guy said in Japanese since some people here may not speak Japanese.

"I just used a PSP exploit on PS Vita's Hello World that uses PSP emulation. This isn't a PS Vita vulnerability(exploit). At most this can just use Half Byte Loader."

"Everyone is getting excited about this, but I don't think it is going to really lead us anywhere."

These are the two main things I saw on his twitter this morning before I went to work. Just giving heads up just in case this hasn't been made clear yet.
