Thanks a lot to all the people who helped....
soldered properly the two points sbe and nor trisate and ps3 now doesnot shut down in flash fun mode... followed TDCroPower2 thread http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t= 30815 and every thing went smoothly now my ps3 has new life. Regards to all Last edited by ahmed73; 12-30-2011 at 07:18 AM. |

It is YLOD and yes reflowing will fix it (for like 10 minutes of gameplay) but if you put a fan at high speed you'll get much more time.

I have this same issue with a PS3 Slim model.
I was at the point of "insert ps3key" so I did that, it never shut off. I waited about 10 minutes. Then I unplugged it. After I tried to turn it back on, it shuts off right away, flashes the yellow light, and then the red light constantly flashes. I tried the unbrick method by soldering the SBE to Tristate NOR but the PS3 still shuts off right away - too soon to do anything with E3 Flasher. Is there a way to test the power supply? |

its nice to be back!! sorry for the CAPS...im too stressed that time im making this thread...
well until now im not touching my JB ps3 since the birth of this thread...i dont know what yload and reflowing means...and i think this is a hopeless case for my console, so i bought a new one using latest FW....and still im not happy...cause i cant play the games i wanna play unless i bought a BD of it...it cause too much pain in my wallet...(,-_-) |

3 red lights = general hardware error. It can be any number of things best way to test this is to open up your ps3 and start disconnecting things one by one until the system starts. If nothing makes it start up its either your power supply or you need to reflow your board (and yes while most people will say its a temp solution if done properly it can add a couple of years to your system)
