As oppsed to the previous post, ill post something with substance..
First follow this how-to http://wiki.gitbrew.org/wikibrew/PS3...S.2B.2B_How-To then after that follow one of these for the distro of your choice (i would suggest the debian-installer one for ease) http://wiki.gitbrew.org/wikibrew/PS3:Linux |

In short:
1. Download Rebug 3.55 CFW with OtherOS++ support and install it (don't forget the "Recovery Menu--> Restore PS3 system" afterwards) 2. Download Red Ribbon Linux for PS3 3. follow this guide starting at point 4: http://wiki.gitbrew.org/wikibrew/PS3..._PS3_models.29 after partitioning the partitions run the Live Red Ribbon CD and install Red Ribbon from there. Gitbrew CFW is for Devs who don't care for GameOS (i.e. Trophy errors), that is why you need the Rebug CFW ![]() Red Ribbon Linux is optimized for the PS3 and does all things like using RSX memory for Swap automatically and works almost like Ubuntu does...
