hi i bought the ps3 yesterday and were very exicided about the ps3@store were you can buy games and download demos,
BUt the problem is when i sign in i get "time Our" error.... anybody know why??

im runnin a cable connection throught a switch and has the ps3 connecting throuhg an unspecified setting , and when i do the test network/internet test i get success throug every catagory except Upnp. And my nat entry is on 2..

i can use the browser ,and if i try to log in to ps3@store with a wrong passwd or username , it tells me it´s wrong...
but i just cant go further ??

please help a frustrated ps3 owner

ok i had this problem quite frequently but i fixed it by turning my ps3 off corectly hold down until it says turn off system press then it will say do u want to turn off the system press
to turn it on press the button and the system will turn on.
i rarly turn my ps3 off in the back after i stoped truning it off in the back it stopped.
do this for a bout a week and post your results

Did you really used to turn it off in the back ALL the time?

Oh, and this happens to me everyday. But, after the initial time tryin to sign in i just press sign in then cancel and then press the sign in again and it works. I doubt we have the same problem. Try using a wireless connection though Becasue i had a problem similar to yours back in nov.

Welcome to the PSN network This happens to me at least once a day. Just do as stated above either reset or do cancel with button then sign in again.

what?is it a bad thing to turn off the switch at the back each time i turned my console off?

I played PS3 once per day,and i turned it off properly and then turn off the main switch at the back...i hope it's not a bad habit to do that.

thanks for all the replys, i cant connect with wireless , i have no connectiona available in my area , but i have a suspecion that it could be some ports that are not open , cause of i dont have the access to the router , couse i share the connection with everybody in my block ....could this be the problem??

by the way how many seconds does it take for you guys to sign in?? 5 sec 10secs??

well psn does like to take its time, try turning off the auto sign in it solved the problem for me cable or wireless, sometimes it takes a couple of seconds some times about a minute but it does like to log you out, if your sharing it is it being shared from a pc or a router if its a router use a pc or the internet on your ps3, type in its ip address, usually the machines gateway and you should have access after username and password to get to the ports but it is not essential for the ports to be open to sign on, have you tried using the internet connection test to see what type nat it is and wether the psn is accessable

no your habit is fine its just when you imediatly turn it off in the back
its like if u unplug your computer without shutingit off properly
