Console will only hook up wth HDMI

Bought a used 80 gig fat. Went to hook it up and cannot use composite plugs. Will only display with HDMI. Any suggestions?

First see the type of your TV.

And than you can configure it to the properly type of video PAL NTSC etc

Reset video mode at boot and try that :-)

Be sure that your TV also supports both 60Hz and 50Hz, I'm 100% sure that even some currect market models ignore supporting both of these formats through composite.

What japsander said. Even between some hd tvs it need a video reset. My bedroom hdmi tv and my downstairs hd tv require a video reset. Also i know to switch from hd to sd on the ps3 requires a video reset.

Could be a broken board that cannot output via composite cables. Seeing as it is used, that could happen but very unlikely. I would think it can be fixed using any number of the above fixes.

Step 1: hold reset button, dont let go
Step 2: wait until It beeps again, let go.
Step 3: enjoy, or come back saying it didnt work
