Am I the only member concerned with the frontpage jb-king advert that has appeared this week? Whilst I understand well and good that this website is ran by Pirate and its up to him what he decides to advertise, the fact he is gaining from piracy in this way brings up questions about the sites credibility in my opinion. Look at how PS3crunch has sold itself down the river with true-blue, and now PS3Hax is jumping on the same bandwagon.

In my view this is so wrong. Promoting the use of CFW to enable homebrew and boot managers is one thing, promoting a product solely designed to make money from piracy (re-encrypted eboots on game copies) is something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

So for that reason, who agrees with me that PS3HAX advertising this dongle is wrong?

I voted just because I like voting, but also because I do think it's wrong on one side.

Still hold my position as to why I feel people WILL buy these things, but that's not for this thread

Hasn't this been discussed like 30x over already?
The point of the advert was so the site could get one for free and then hopefully rip, compare to tb, and then have a free solution. Well, something along those lines. It's not really to support it, but, more or less, to break it down.
I'm really hoping no one buys the product, just as long as the site still gets it.

where do people get this idea from??
i contacted them to request a sample but it had nothing to do with ads....
"they" contacted pirate about advertising and he accepted to cover server costs

It is clearly piracy...but since it is just pirating from True Blue, which is itself a DRM-laden dongle sold by people who openly pirate games, I have no issues with this. I also have no issues with Pirate selling ad space to pay for the site that we all enjoy. Really the only issue that I have is with Math...if he would release the f**king keys, we could simply fix the eboots for new games and no one would need any of these DRM dongles to play their legal backups.

As for piracy of games in general, that is a whole other thread, and has nothing to do with the sale of a pirated dongle.
