All you need is a SCART - VGA adaptor. Here are a few I found:

http://www.gefen.com/kvm/product.jsp?prod_id=3257

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...C=SO&U=strat15

Not sure of the reliability just googled and found them.

I think you misunderstood Sams.
You want to display your Ps3 on a vga computer monitor right?
Then you need something like HDFury (its what I have, works great but 99 dollars )
I think I saw a Wii/Ps3 to vga adaptater somewhere on http://www.divineo.cn/cgi-bin/div-cn/index.html .
It look on the "whats new" part of the site, Ithink its cheaper than HDFury.

Edit: Yup, Here it is! http://www.divineo.cn/cgi-bin/div-cn/wii-vgacb
And it's only 30 Dollars!!!!
I wish that one was already on shelves when I bought my HDFury...

No I think I do understand. I have given an adaptor to plug your SCART into a VGA monitor.

With a vga box you'll get nothing but an ugly image, and both your eyes and your PS3 deserves better.

Sell your old monitor and get a new one. Here's what I did (sorry, prices in euros):

- sold my (not so) old 19": 100 euros
- sold my VGA Box: 50 euros (if you don't buy it, that's the same!)
- bought a new 22" Samsung with dvi and everything: 250 euros
->
250-100-50=100 euros for a great monitor, and games in 720p.
