old 80g Ps3 no lights no power
I replaced a known bad blue ray drive with a new one. The system hasn't been updated for over a year. When I downloaded and updated system it shut off like normal and wont turn on. I tried replacing power cord, switch, and power unit itself and nothing.
Any ideas? Beginning to go crazy. Thanks |

Took switch and power unit from old 40g with same matching #'s and nothing. "Fuse in plug" not sure what you mean. I tried different outlets as well. The cord works fine on my working ps3.

I see, first double check that all your connectors that connect the pcb,s together are connected correctly. if one is not connected right you may not get power.
The first time i took my ps3 apart i left a connector loose and could have sworn it was connected. My heart sank when it didn't turn on. just double check.
