I own silver fat ps2 w/o network adapter, hardmoded chip, laser is dead i tried replacing it few times it worked for a while but its not paying off. So i was wandering if i could somehow play games on it but booting anything is out of question because it wont load any disc. Thanks in advance.

You can, USB advance. But there is a compatibility list, not all games work. And also ps2 has usb 1.1, so ingame movies may stutter a little, but the game part is fine.

Use Open PS2 Loader from Network/USB/Internal HDD. It has better compatibility with anything.

how does ps2 loader works? as i said i dont have network adapter on this ps2, its fat so i dont have internal and cant use hdd, thats why i was asking about usb

Edit: I cant find any way to make MC exploit w.o using programs like sms spawm etc first to install exploit on MC, so is there a way i can setup MC on pc because i have usb cable for ps1/2 gamepads with mc slots?

without a laser yu need to get a friend with a modchip or other method to install FMCB on your MC then you can use OPL to play the games from your USB stick or HDD. BIG problem with FMV though as PS2 USB is 1.1 it is slow as and FMV skip and stutte badly. best bet get a network adaptor... you can still use OPL and it will not stutter....

thanks for replay spud, i dont know what is fmcb or opl i know the games should get laggy but i just want to make it work, i had that console for a long time and i love it.

p.s. yes i am lol but i posted here thread because looks like they baned my IP on psx-scene i cant load site at all, i dont even know if someone replayed me there.

I used some sites to see if my ip is baned and i was correct but i dont know why they did that i viewed site numeros times only made one thread, never did anything against rules or used foul language

You don't need to do something wrong in that site, it's just mods being themselfs = retarded = nazis.
FMCB is the hack for the memmory card, ask a friend with an operating lazer PS2 to install it for you, he must have a FAT model aswell. If you can't find somebody, ask on the net if somebody that lives near you would do it for you.
OPL stands for Open PS2 Loader. OPL has all 3 supports, USB HDD, Internal HDD, Network so you don't need to worry for that. Yet it has the best compatibility of all loaders out there, there are games that or they don't boot at all or they are so laggy that they become unplayable, but still it's the best option. In your case I would buy a lense and replace it myself, it's way too easy (I have nearly to zero experience) and way too cheap, you can get one now for like $10, and you can use it very rarely only when you cant use USB...

Most of the games on OPL run perfectly, even better than perfect because of the small loading times. I have ALL ps2 rpgs on my internal hdd and all of them run perfectly, except for kingdom hearts 2... (there's a patch that fixes it, but it removes the gummy ship stages).
You can buy another lens, as VIRGIN KLM said, they're pretty cheap these days, just so you can put a hdd on it, then you wont use the laser ever again =P

ps: how great is the ps2?? i still play it to this day. best console ever =P

Yes i think u guys are right i was thinking myself just buying the new lense and replacing it myself just so i can setup external hdd , i did it before so i know how easy it is.

I was thinking about setting up MC trough pcsx2 emulator and usb connector for ps2 gamepad but if that doesnt go well ima go with new lense, or installing it at friends ps2.

p.s. : yea ps2/1 has some of the best rpg-s i played in my life i truly had best times with those. Emulators are just not the same happy gaming old schools
