ps3 firmware 4.00
The PS3 came with firmware 3.65 upgraded to 4.00 what can I do to jailbreak this console to copy my own games to the hard drive and play them.

 your firmware is not supported. 3.55 or below only for now.

did you get the console new or second hand? if it was new you'll have to wait till the long awaited 4.00 jb comes out but that wont support back ups to begin with
second hand you can use a E3 flasher to downgreade to 3.55

Then someone will do peek and poke while also enable running of backups... but guys I am wodering the E3 flasher will not work for him? It'll allow him to downgrade to 3.55 upon which he'll be able to install 3.55 cfw or TB? |

I got the console new. It had 3.65 on it and it updated.

u can install some homebrew such as showtimes, but not multiman or things that need peek/poke I think.. because that is intended for backups and wont work.. i am speaking as an amateur n00b...
