I know that when I play my ps3 latter today I will be using Muiltiman.
I can only be thankful
I like Greg but I think this time he may be picking the wrong battle.

I received an email from Cobra Team and they confirm that nothing changed

the previous version also can be installed on other firmware and this version is without the need to re install multiMAN? hence We have to install Multiman (mmCM) to prevent installing multiman (mm) ? it seems quite ironic, no?

moreover it is just another MOD of multiman with updates and functions that doesn't work without dongle but also WITHOUT CFW 3.55 COBRA which is double useless.

so why his release?

this version is just a fake because it doesn't do what it does lol

Picking the wrong battle is just a expression. It's not literal.
Just means it's not worth the argument.

1.) You left to "rebuild" multiMAN.
True, I posted that I'll try to rewrite major parts of multiMAN so make it BETTER, FASTER and bug-free for the benefit of all.

2.) Cobra released cmMM, when people assumed it was you who created it, you didn't admit that it was you, you spoke of how you were glad that "someone else" took up "your work", you pretended someone else created it, knowing all along that it was you who created it.
Yes, people assume a lot of things. I recently read a post that stated as a fact that I'm behind Cobra, TrueBlue, JB-King and all dongles floating around. I also read that I'm a Sony employee. People talk and repeat other people's stupidities - some can't do anything else.

3.) Its no secret that you always wanted money for mM, you complained about not receiving any donations, etc.
Putting it out of the original context, don't you. Yes, there were couple of times when users *****ed and asked for features, they demanded that I answer each and every PM or post, etc, etc... Well guess what - I brought features, answered thousands of posts. I never "asked" for donations so I can add a specific feature or anything. It's always been: support it if you like it. Guess what again - about 15 people "liked" multiMAN for the last year.

4.) You deleted mM of Google Code.
So what? There are 35 clones of it updated the same day I removed the source.

5.) You release mM 4.0 under Cobra's name. solidifying that you indeed worked for a DRM dongle creator, now don't try and deceive anyone and say you did tyhat sh*t for free, Cobra payed you for mMCM 3.0 to 4.0.
Actually if you used your PS3 and loaded 4.0 you'll see it is multiMAN, not mmCM. So now you're stating FACTS again don't you? I didn't know that I have to inform everyone about my financial transactions and wealth, about each time I pick up the phone and talk to **, **, ** or ** or about anything. I don't have to explain my actions to anyone.

6.) My personal belief is that the only reason you released mmCM is because people like @CrashSerious were calling you out on Twitter, stating that you sold out, so you had to redeem yourself, by releasing a "free" version of mMCM.
I'm sorry but I don't follow twitter. If anyone (dev or whoever) speaks ill of me I try not to pay attention. That guy you refer to - his "team" released their first app, called "One" and mentioned multiMAN in a bad manner. I have nothing else to say about him. Oh and let them know that mm required about 3500 man/hours.

Finally, i don't care or have a problem with you earning money of Cobra, what annoys me is that you deceived your followers, by pretending that you were going off to rewrite your code, then going and joining the ranks of Cobra team.
Yes, Greg. I joined TB, JBKing, Cobra, Paradox, SEN and SCEE and few other groups/companies you'll find about soon. I'm actually the hidden leader of all these and I have a great evil master plan to release tons of more stuff for free.

It is ridiculous... For the last 20+ years I created tens of free applications and I've been part of a lot of communities, but never in one like the one you have here. It is still comforting to know that people who think like you do are just a few.

Then it doesn't make sense, this means that somebody creates fake traces/info about you... Double check your contacts and how trustworthy they are...:s

EDIT: Didn't even somebody contacted you asking if you would like to join? Something weird is going on...

I don't really care about that.... And to address your previous message about cobra contacting me, please check multiMAN's changelog from august where it said for version 2.07.00:

Code:
* Added: Support for REBUG CFW 3.41.3
* Added: Support for Cobra content folders: PSXISO, PS2ISO, PS3ISO, DVDISO and BDISO (WIP)
* -> Access to all types of optical discs inside multiMAN (file/folder mode):
* -> Copy/Backup of Blu-ray Movie Discs (decryption may be required on PC) (previously possible only via OtherOS)
* -> Copy/Backup of DVD-Video discs (decryption may be required on PC)
* -> Copy/Backup of PSX and Playstation 2 Discs
* -> Access to AACS\MKB_RO.inf on a Blu-ray movie disc to restore lost DRL1/DRL2
* -> Direct playback of movies/music (avi, mkv, etc) from BD-R/BD-RE/DVD-R/DVD-RW via Showtime for multiMAN
* -> Transfer speed average: 9MB/s (44GB Blu-ray disc movie transfers in ~90 min)
Cobra never contacted me. Actually it was my initiative to add support for cobra manager content (iso/etc) to unify the folder names and stuff. You know that there are at least 10 more releases after that one, but no one cared about the cobra stuff, right? The last few months various people contacted me via email/irc with questions, help requests about stuff/functions in multiMAN, so I helped everyone who asked. And about me withholding information about playing PS2 backups... I'm sorry to disappoint you but I don't know how to do that.

If you would pay attention, you would know that greg doesnt pick battles, people just drag him in there when he speaks his mind. :P

Thats what i like about the guy, he doesn't just states his opinion, he does it with conviction <---- i really hope this sentence is correct.....

Also, gregory, it's sad to see you leave, if only for a little break. It's a shame a "scene" can do that to people....

I always enjoyed your honest opinion, how ever you stated it.

Did it ever pass from your mind that you could have helped somebody that would later pretend to be you in an attempt to raise sales and advertise the dongle? Because this is what's happening. Make sure to change your ftp and email passwords.
