sigh... the files seem to have been taken down from all the download links. I'm going through that giant thread but there's no sign of fresher links (so far). I'm surprised these files weren't just torrented to begin with.

Is there any way to add .MKV support to the built-in player? |

I convert all MKV to .m4v or MP4 ..The PS3 player plays them just fine & it does not take to long to convert them .I don't use BD discs ,i like to convert them cause the take up way to much space .. On BluRay i still keep 10+ quality .. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* https://www.lonelycoder.com/showtime/ Also try out the repack that are released By Redsquirrel...

Showtime used to be buggy playing mkv files, but ever since it's been included with multiman and I've been keeping it updated, it plays mkv files great on my slim. It has Kmeaw 3.55.

Hi again, folks.
So, I've got all my files downloaded. I used this guide http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=26677 except I grabbed the latest version of MM 2.09. I verified the kmeaw with MD5, but there seems to be no list of hashes for the other software. (that would be a really useful thing to have on this site - a list of all the available software and verified hashes for each version and file). SO! I have one question. Some of the software archives contain multiple packages for CFW versions. For example, with showtime 3.44 I have a choice of 3.41 and 3.55-geohot. I'm assuming that I'd use the 3.55 one, except that I'm using kmeaw and not geohot's CFW. |

Yea always use the 3.55 versions if you're on CFW 3.55.
The version you need to download is the 3rd one down here: https://github.com/andoma/showtime/downloads |

Thanks to the help here, I've had the kmeaw + multiman up and running for a few weeks, and have been able to do some interesting stuff with it.
Showtime is proving to be less than ready for.... show-time. The UI is a bit glitchy and some media that I try to play is unwatchable. And there seems to be no way to exit the application. What would be my next choice in a media player? |
