@TDCroPower2 , Sad news for me, while i was doing the Dual Boot today, i got the YLOD . Very unexpected, as everything was working fine. Is it possible to fix this YLOD by soldering the Tristate to SBE point? please let me know, as i just ran out of ideas.

Thank you very much for the guide as it is very helpful... It is much more detailed than the original one.

I have a problem, at the step 4 of the guide. The xmb never asks to plug in a controller so I am stuck there! does anyone have any idea what might have happened?
When I change the switch from OFW to CFW nothing happens! OFW 4.11 again!!!
Do I have to make a deeper scratch to cut A-B line or is it something else?

All previous steps were successful...

I have flashed 4.11 via usb as e3 says and I have a jtp m/b
Use multimeter for testing A - B connection.
And remove power core / HD Power off everytime
that will solve your problem

Hope it helps!

I guess you should try again the dualboot process. Flash back 4.0/4.11 dump to ps3 flash 1st, by using flash-fun with nor tristate <--> SBE soldered. And repeat the dualboot procedures.

But I cannot proceed to the downgrade because it does not ask me to plug a usb controller. The ps3 just boots the xmb normally after step 3. If I cut all the power to ps3 and HDD as you suggested then when I put the switch to CFW the ps3 shuts down 5 seconds
after I press the power button
. . All the previous steps were successful, however.
I have soldered both the tristate to the SBE and the A point to the SBCE..
Does anyone have an idea what might be going wrong?

****UPDATE

No YLOD, no RLOD... just shuts off...

Heeeeelp.....

Trying it now....

I have put bkpps30.bin and e3_downgrade.bin, together on sd card and it still shuts down.

2 more thing you could try.
1.wire vcc (ps3 mb) to e3s vcc Bvcc together.
2.clean your solder point / Nor chip / motherboard by alcohol with toothbrush.

@TDCroPower2 , I'm still having some issues with the dual boot. When I flip the switch from CFW to OFW, and put my 4.11 hdd, the ps3 beeps 3 times and then turns off, while the red light in the front flashes red. However, when I'm in CFW everything works fine, what should I do? any suggestions?

[UPDATE] I succesfully unbricked my ps3, yesss sometimes, if you wanna do something right, you have to do it yourself what I did was, I soldered the SBE point to the Nor Tristate, which is located here on VER 001 motherboards: Ps3 Playstation 3 PA0 NOR Tristate Point VER-001 Motherboard - YouTube

Then, I took my copy of the bios, in this case, the one that caused the brick (3.55 in my case, it has to be the same firmware that you had prior to having the brick AND make sure is error free) then, on the e3 flasher, flip the FLASH FUN switch up (the rest down) and then hit START on the E3. After that, it asked me to connect my controller, and Bingo! I was back on 3.55 again! And Dual boot is back too 3.55 <==>4.11. Awesome.

I hope this doesn't happen to you guys, because the downgrade process gave me a YLOD, but if you do, I hope this help you as much as it helped me

P.S.: Thanks to those who tried to help me too : )
