Gitbrew the guys that were making the real work left it because they were tired of making a name for others that do nothing so Gitbrew is not existant anymore technicaly atleast with the structure that is able to make any releases.
KaKaRoTo he is actually nearly completion of his project believe it or not, I KNOW (and not ASSUME) it's real deal.

I tested it with cobra dongle but display gets noize. is this compatible for ntsc? other PS2 iso looks boot normal. only OPLiso so noizey.

Stealing work to post, is why most of the devs left this scene. That and the lying behind the scenes. I left gitbrew for a variety of reasons of which i will not say, however i am still working on the stuff i was working on while i was with gitbrew (minus some of the linux development stuff to make things easier for the norm due to no 3.55 ps3). I've been helping a variety of people with quite a bit of stuff. We're all behind the scenes because we got tired of being poked and proded asking for releases. The more we get poked and proded for releases the less likely we will have any motivation to work on them as they are our HOBBY. Needless to say though, things ARE being worked on behind the scenes. There will be no dates or no etas. We will work on things when we feel like it or when we get a thirst for knowledge that no one has. That is why I do what I do. People are working on decryption of the dongles, but it's not an easy task, that's all i can and will say on that subject though. Also, regardless of what people say. Dean is a pretty cool guy, regardless of what he has done or did or if he has done anything. Thank you for being awesome and helping the scene with your backup manager. /end rant

fail0verflow They were all very famous hackers before they were hacking the PS3 and they most likely will be back with another hack since what they have been hinting lately on twitter, they said no CFW but I am assuming there is something PS3 related coming even if it isn't CFW.

Gitbrew when i left was still working on linux development, but paused for quite awhile. I've been working on other things in the mean time (not emulator related, but still related in a weird way).

:P 80% was from glevand. We had random developers who came and released stuff, which was what gitbrew was originally made for, anonymous releases. the other 20% was a gigantic collection of other devs that came in to help further research, there is literally too many names to list, and i wouldn't want to start listing and feel like a dick if i forgot any. so regardless it because a group effort from everyone, and i thank them for doing what they did to further the scene , I didn't leave because of math, and i'm pretty sure no one else did. (just clearing that up)

Also i'm guessing people are assuming stuff since i posted a few days ago asking for both of them to join a irc channel to discuss things. so :P
