Hi,
I appreciate that these questions probably come up a fair bit but Im new.
So any way I have a slim ps3 with fw 3.66.
I know that I cant downgrade without either a progskeet or e3 flasher (thanks to this forum for explaining this).

Ive had a look at both and think id rather get the progskeet as I believe that it can be removed after use and then used again on different ps3.

Can progskeet be removed after use and used again ?

Also I believe progskeet has available solderless attachments, has anyone used these are they a good fit?

Once I get the progskeet is this the process?
Use progskeet to downgrade 3.66 – 3.55
Remove progskeet
Install custom firmware

Anyone want to suggest why I should/shouldn’t get progskeet and instead get the e3 flasher?

Also anyone in the UK bought a progskeet, if so where did you order from, Ive seen a few places with them, but Ive been burnt ordering online before so feedback is appreciated.

First of all what model is the ps3?
Check the serial on the back of the console, at the end of the serial code there should be something like CECH...

Yes progskeet can be removed whenever and used on multiple consoles, soldered or solderless.
You have a NOR console since it is a slim so using solderless option isn't really the way to go for you atm because the 360clip for the NOR chip doesn't work properly, the NAND clip(FAT Models) isn't to good either so its best to solder if you can NOR soldering isn't hard, lots of tutorials and diagrams for each board.

But this all depends on what model your console is, your system might be undowngradeable
Im selling my progskeet 1.1 and all the solderless parts but the 360clip is nand, upto you if you want to purchase a fat ps3
But discoazul.com sell everything you need and offer cheap shipping to the uk, i think they are based in spain

Am I soldering the wires onto the progskeet and the ps3 itself, or just onto the progskeet,
I know its not hard exactly but I generally mess up at least once,and whilst the progskeet isnt bank breaking wouldn't want to damage the ps3.

Ill check the tutorials, when I get in cant get way with watching vids at work.

I had a look at the pictures of the progskeet there are about a million wires looks a nightmare, is it?

i am sure someone else will provide you with the list but anyway that version is UNHACKABLE so your only way is to wait till kakaroto relases his HEN

Damn it, looks like it'll be the xbox for a while yet then.

Is it likely that there will be a straightforward downgrade that will work on my slim ? at any point?

For now i dont think so cause they come with factory fw 3.56+ so not until a higher CFW gets relased
