Um, you mean "over here when you disagree with a certain moderator he can break all of the rules and if you stand your ground your posts are either deleted or moved to the far reaches of the Earth". Sure this site doesn't censor as much as ps3-news, but it does indeed take a very bias stance in the "scene".

Guys cfwprofit has made a questionable video, but like others have pointed out is hesitant on releasing his methods for doing what he's doing (and that is still not proving his SPRX theory). He needs to provide proof we can all use and verify and until then I will trust DeanK over him. How can you look the author of one of the best homebrew applications for the PS3 in the face and call him a liar when he has nothing to gain from explaining how things work. If you do, which you will, you are an anti-dongle wacko pirate who wants everything for free - go back to your heard and respect the fact that DeanK has stuck around with all the crap given to him after the fact he proved he is an invaluable asset to the "scene" and not some 15 second glory hound.

Ok, you might be right about biased stuff, Im new here and have noticed my posts staying up unedited so far so it seemed better but you could be right and its just because I havnt pissed anyone off or said anything that goes against site interests. I cant speak for anything I havnt seen for my own eyes. All the scene seems to be against each other and its hard to know what to believe so I try not fall for any hype , P*3*e*s broke the line between being biased and being objective IMO.

I will vote with my time and membership, as in I have signed out of there and wont sign in ever again. If this site treats me the same I will leave here too and look at the other sites that get badmouthed , if I believed everything Ive read no site is any good as they all hate each other! Also even the fact we are having this conversation proves this site is better as it wouldnt be allowed over there!

To me all this video "proves" is that sony didnt change the keys that decrypt FW files. But that might mean absolutely nothing as I cant see how this will allow new games to run on old firmware because that is what sony are really trying to protect with thier recent security updates. The CoreOS is where the real decrypting goes on so this might be true but useless, only time will tell. I also didnt like the bit aimed at deans comment... that comment by dean wasnt an attack on team-acid so no need for a personal reply in the vid but that just my opinion.

Ok, great. That clears that up. but theres a 30+ page thread on net called "team-acid discover how to run new games on CFW" so you can see why people would be interested in that . If its nothing to do with games then I take back all ive said and it could all be true.

You sound like you know how to spot a rotten apple when you see one. Advice (somewhat generic) keep your head down, don't disagree with the majority of any given topic and do not even disagree with moderators (a certain one in particular - you'll know who after a few days of reading new topics) and you should be fine. If you try to paddle up river you'll get wet.

For your finding a "home" it's hard right now as there is much rivalry in the scene. You have sites that the owner sold (mind you after running it for more then 10 years), you have newer sites that follow the classic "scene" model that happen to endorse (heaven forbid) "modification products" for the PS3 (just like the 360 & Wii "scenes") and then you have middle aged sites like this one that have just fallen apart due to lack of leadership and abuse of power. Then there's the "portal sites" and "kid" sites and news corporation sites... I prefer the old school model based on supporting mods and homebrew to this sites operational standards any day.

Regardless of what anyone says the TB dongle does something no one else has done and if they want to sell it there's nothing anyone can do about that and the ads stay up so they must be making a profit. People complain about the use of copyright code - these same people used stolen keys to install a custom firmware on their PS3. You can't just call the keddle black. Besides, most of the CFW users use it to play pirated games. So it's okay to play pirated games on an illegally hacked game system as long as you don't have to pay for it? but, heaven forbid you're asked to buy a modification product that has been attached every single way and still is dominating the market due to the fact it can boot 3.6+ games and well, your free homebrew and hacked firmwares can't.

Like I said before - anti-dongle wackos pirates who wants everything for free.

So why was his attack on TrueBlue that was spammed all over the interwebs claiming he knows how to run 3.56+ games on 3.55 firmwares? (Something he has ZERO evidence about).

Because noone who is part of it all is saying anything and 99.9% of us have no clue either way.

Add to that it is the internet and you have your answer... Rumours and hopes.
