This is the reason why I haven't even started my PS3 in ~3 months.

We're still stuck on 3.55, and people are still arguing about the same stuff as ever.

I miss the days of 3.41 and 3.55 when things actually happened...

whats wrong with those fws?

TB devs have found a way to play new games on 3.55, besides using PSN I dont know what more anyone wants on CFW.

Skyrim is LAGGY on ps3. If you have some alternatives to play this game (a good pc for example), stay away from ps3 version. Xbox360 version is a little better, but have some problems too. If you really want play the ps3 version, TB or OFW are your only choices...

actually there is jb-king which does the same as TB but is cheaper
although its still a DRM device, it uses TB's very own DRM and does not add their own

Lots of problems here, with all updates. Maybe my ps3 just hates me.

Has anybody actually thought of taking it back and getting a full refund?

You do the same if anything else does not work as advertised so there is no legal difference. It's just the culture we live in that takes it as acceptable for games.

Nowhere on the box does it say it can become unplayable does it?

I can understand for PC games as each setup can be different, but the PS3 has a fixed setup apart from HDD which makes no difference in the problems.

Not sure about other countries, but in UK, the legal term is 'not fit for purpose'

There are more than enough complaints and evidence of how bad it is all over the net so they cannot say it is your fault, and if the store tries the 'send it to manufacturer' just politely tell them no, as it is them who have sold you a product that does not comply to the law.
