Depends what ROMset you're using and what version of MAME they use on the PS3.
With every update of MAME they make daft little changes to ROMs and they need to be updated. Say your ROMset is .126 and this matches the version of MAME on your PC, if the PS3 is using MAME .127 then you'd need to update your ROMs to match that. I'm at work and most sites are blocked so I can't help anymore than that, google "How to update your MAME Rom Set" and that should point you in the right direction. Not sure what the piracy stance is on this but I thought it would be ok considering even just the logistics of owning an original arcade machine - just checked ebay, there is an old JAMMA cab with Robocop currently going for £51.00 and it's pick up only. That's a 800 mile round trip for me then there'd be the carrying it up 6 flights of stairs and trying to find somewhere in my flat to keep it! |
