Newer mkv movies closing by itself

Hello guys, I googled a lot trying to find out what's happening and couldn't find any answer, I hope that you guys help me.

So, I'm using showtime 3.4 and new movies ( like moneyball and real steel) just closes itself when it's showing. I can watch new series in the same format as the movies - mkv - and the problem not happens at all.

I already tried to use older versions of showtime but it didn't worked either.

Please, someone can give me a solution for this? I need to watch my mkv movies.

Ps.: forgive my poor english

i have experiance same thin,
think mostly, is beacause when people rip them, to save time they rip them to lower and sometime wird reselution.

Use this software to check mediafiles just rightclick on file http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/nb

Observe the track info for AVC profile information. If it shows a value higher than 4.1.

Because somehow ps3 dont like that.

I have and Tutorial on the topic if you like to see it.

So you're saying that the problem is in the releases and not in the ps3/showtime?

Yes i think it is the realeases.

I havent had any trouble when the resolution is 1900x1200 or 1080x720!

But had trouble when the specs are like 544x304 and avc profile is higher than 4.1
