I would take Windows with a POS Metro interface over iOS or OS X anyday, but Droid ICS FTW!
We each have our own opinion to what's what and what we like and dislike. I totally agree with what you say, but each OS is bound to have its flaws. No OS is perfect. Linux I'll admit has great capabilities for customization and is cleaner and open source however it may be put to full use only by an experienced user who knows their way around Linux, Windows clearly has come along way, and I get that they are trying something new, however they get around to incorporating it all the more better in their next update, Mac OSX on the other hand is smoother and uses less resources. Each OS has its own ups and downs.

The release along with 99% of every other application (excluding game consoles and movies) that are uploaded to usenet will have multi-virii imbedded into the main installer and then DLL/EXE files once installed. Usenet (in the last 3 years) has become a "haven" for virii laden apps. I'm not sure what WIN8 you got, but I've tested 3 releases on my test system (not connected to anything, clean OS everytime before testing, multiple anti-virus, etc...) and all 3 were infected one of which did not register until after being installed and easily spread out of VMware and VBox. Nasty thing this WIN8/USENET release is.

Be careful or get it from Microsoft.
