Question Would this be possible?

Just another one of my crazy ideas, would it be possible to exploit the ps3 via authoring a special blu-ray movie. As it uses Java for the menu could we exploit it that way by crashing Java and running code (may be eaiser than other methods possibly), or make a burn/play a video that like the tiff exploit crashes the machine and runs unsigned code.

P.S Sorry again for this random idea probably crap and useless lol.

P.P.S I heard that the ps3 browser is based on netfront or something like that and people are trying to crash that to gain access to the ps3. Would that work as well

hes a note for you. the tiff exploit never crashed the ps3. it was crap. all it did was frezze the screen. ( i have proof ) anyways, this may work but the hyper viser well see the code altered. so dont expect anything.

BR uses Java for the menu? I didn't know that. Seems like as solid a method for an exploit as any other.

Dude imagin we are in the beginning of the XX century, and we are all trying to make an Aircraft. The Wright Brothers got it right, but they didn't asked their friends if it was possible, because no one knew, so they build their own aircraft, and finally they did the first flight ever on December 17, 1903.

What i'm trying to say here, is, don't ask if its possible because no one here will know. Just try it. And if you just wanna share your idea, just start a topic with "Possible method" and not "Would this work?", because i dont imagin that theres like a guy who knows a way, and its here just waiting for you to get it right.

Now about this method, i didn't knew that the BR used Java for the menus. But even so i seriously doubt.

Ya I noticed the folder saying BD data on the HDD. I“m not sure when that appeared(maybe with my 300 BD). the folder is empty though. Does anybody have that folder with any data in it?
I also don“t think there would be much chance to do anything, but.........
