Look at the Git cloning (keys) last year, there was a list with all people who cloned the Git and Github was forced to take down all cloned gits and also in the lawsuit against Geosnob they used posts from him asking for a certain Eboot.... Don't think $ony is a lame organization when it comes to copyrights, lawsuits and "Nazi" spying, we know better

For Sony, It's about the PSN. if it was about piracy, they would have been went after the ps3 and psp ISO sites and basically anyone who made anything that they deem unauthorized which is all homebrew, the ps3devwiki would be shut down, Deank would be sued for multiman, rebug would be sued as well and torrent sites would be in trouble. The only thing that matters to Sony is the PSN. The S*it hit the fan the moment CFW was able to access the network which means cheating for some and basically destroying what sony calls the "Playstation experience".

Something else to point out. When Sony updated their OS and noticed the changes they made stopped access to the PSN, no one AFAIK has been sued. IMO, we can have cfw as long as we don't interfere with the PSN. Mess with the network and watch the band of lawyers march. I have YET to here about anyone getting sued by Sony for using multiMan and backing up their games? Dont anyone find it strange that Sony haven't made a move against the makers of TB, Cobra or the JBKing?

And that's what all the current SOPA, ACTA and other web censoring is about. We've seen a law brought forward to help people, but instead it's meaning and usage is twisted and used against people instead.

This happened when the terror laws introduced in the UK, the used them to manhandle an old man out of a labour conference as he, a long time labour supporter, didnt like what they were doing then.

And we have the patent war right now as well. Patents are supposed to protect innovators, but instead we now see corporations buying and creating patents in order to stop future innovators from making something better.


We all know this is about corporate greed, most of these new laws you can tell there has been some hand-shaking and money exchanges between them and government officials. They've been bribed to be rushed into law so that the corporations can have more control and make more profits, you just have to read at how so many organisations quickly speak out against these laws due to them being so rushed and too vague etc.
