Hey guys i have a PS3 (CECHLO4) Wich is running on firmware 4.00 and i like to get a CFW on it, but i am very scared that i brick this thing so i would like to know how i can get a Nand/nor backup without these infectus modchips.

IIRC any software dump of the NAND or NOR is incomplete and does not copy the whole bootldr section due to hypervisor restrictions. The only way to do it properly is through a flasher.
