thats not the problem.

the problem started because those of us who stated without a doubt that it was wrong for scene values were attacked for their beliefs and called hypocrites.

when they retaliated, they cried mod abuse and such. this carried on and on until we stepped down. we will not be told that we are wrong for wanting freedom of information. freedom helps them just as much as anyone else. its like they are happy to rely on scraps

if people want it, let them but dont tell us we are wrong for wanting these people who demanded freedom to return the same

I say we moderate ourselves. For example.. if I was to say this thread is **** and @screwhead is a jackass for starting it, then I would realize I broke some rules and hit a punish myself button at the bottom of my post. This punishment could come with automated points where you would recieve half of the infraction points if you apologize and put yourself on a timeout for 30 min.

I think the only real way to have the likers and the dislikers treated equally is to do what was tried before.

Set up a TB section and everyone has to stick to the rules for it, Members and Mods. If a post is made outside of it then it is moved to it with no comment by the Mod moving it in open forum, but the OP is sent a PM asking them to make sure any further TB posts are made in correct section. If they then post anything else outside of it they get an infraction.

It's not perfect, but it should help keep the battles off the other forums.

If threads are started like the 'Why TB is bad' etc then they should be put in 'Off Topic' or 'Scene Drama' from the start, and NO-ONE gets an infraction there (unless they break a basic PS3Hax rule), and that includes as above, Members AND Mods.

That way anyone who posts in such opinion based threads knows that they are doing so will be aware that a lot of sh1t will be flying, so they have NO right to complain about it.

If a battle between a Member and a Mod starts in that thread then it should not be that Mod who issues an infraction or ban but Pirate himself, and if needed he should punish the Mod as well as the Member.

Ok, that's maybe me just being too fanciful and idealistic about things, but it should work as there would be no arguing (or very little) in other threads, and anyone crossing the line knows it is a set punishment for all.

Love it man, but is everyone man enough to admit when they are wrong. We shouldn't let a device turn the scene upside down due to difference of opinions. TB will have it's day in front of Gods of gaming and we will stand victorious. When I first came here I was the one needing help and sometimes still do, now I find myself helping others. The knowledge that I gained from this site and my peers is priceless to me I'm just glad that we have a place like this, but for how much longer no one knows especially with all this s#@t going on with the feds and things.

I visit this site daily compared to other PS3 scene sites. It is because of the Mods. They truthful on what they say and reports.

I'm happy and proud of the MODS still in the forums and those that came back: @Annelies , @pbanj , @Tcraw77813 @BobbyBlunt, Pockets69 &, @madshaun1984 .

As far as TB...

Freedom of information is always a good thing and that's my biggest beef with it...

I've read defyboy stating that all the info is on the ps3devwiki and that some folks don't post everything they find because they don't have time. I personally didn't take that as them holding things back, surely the creators of TB, JBKing and maybe even Cobra got a good portion of their info from the ps3devwiki...

But after reading that, I'm totally sold that the only way to defeat TB and JBKing is for 1 possibly, 2 DEVs in the scene "NOT RELATED to the TB/JBKing organization "to step up and for the sake of the scene, put their piracy values aside for the overall goal of defeating these dongles. Cobra included, and I actually like the Cobra Dongle!

Please note: This isn't a challenge or request to those unknown DEVS, just my take on it.

I wish I knew what it would take to create a 4.00 CFW/MFW. Even though that would have the flood gates wide open to pirating, at least it would be free and TB & JBKing would no longer exist.

would about cover the whole situation but what kinda punishment would mods n users get could make another section called the PIG PEN in only let them post in there the stink should keep em oot oh it for a second tym instaed ohfolk hopefully a agreement can be struck to keep as many users n mods as possible

TLDK was a good guy, when I first signed up he let me off when I bumped a thread despite my better judgement, @japsander was the all around guy who was chill, willing to help and be a pal, I view him and @pbanj the same. Very chill dudes. I thought @Wolfie 704 wasn't bad either but he stepped down before I really had a chance to know him as a mod. @Annelies was also very chill, very philosophical and wise, but sadly departed the position to go onto other of life's endeavors. Good to see him back but hopefully not at the cost of his goals of writing his book and such. @BobbyBlunt always comes in and says hi and chats for a bit, doesnt put up with bs not unlike the other mods, ive seen him stick up for his comrades and the website a couple times. Definetly a team player. Finally there's @GregoryRasputin . This guy was EVERYWHERE since I've been here. Since the beginning of this site. Next to @Pirate Greg knows the site inside out. Greg may be one tough cookie, might even be hardheaded at times (under your own admission Greg ) but why don't YOU take a walk in his shoes and see what's up? This man has more experience here than all of us. He's the guy who believes "you stay out of my way, I'll stay out of yours." but what's really admirable is that he's someone who stands up for his beliefs, which is why us against TB felt he was our resistance leader. Truly a great man and it's not the same without him. Hopefully you guys come back

Idk dude, sounds fun in a tee-hee kinda way, but some of them flame on us just for being against, but then we'd be part of the problem not the solution.
