and i cant see the e3-downgrade file in your files? which one is it?

The minimum firmware checker is to see what the lowest firmware your ps3 can be downgraded to.

Here is the e3_downgrade.bin. Thought I had it in there, but is fixed now.

How can i use this checker? I put it onto a usb and then? (sorry for noob question)

EDIT ok I solved it, I checked it can take 3.40 or higher.

If i shut down ps3 instead of reseting e3 flasher will be ok?

Oh and is their any case it wont read the step 1 or step 2 files from my usb? I heard some usbs dont do the job, I can have 2 of them ready (4gb and 8 gb) but if the first fails to read can i try again or i will be bricked?

Do you have any last/important advice for me?

any one tell my what happen if i connect my six-axis to ps3 and navigate throw selection cues dongle not working or
how to enter fsm without downgrade dongle
now i am stuk in sreen that tilling me to connect sixaxis and press ps btm
pleas help meeeeeee((after useing e3 flasher))

It says in the tutorial on th e3 site, there is no need to shut down the ps3 and just press the reset button. I think you can still shut it down, cause I see that way in some others guides.

I never had a problem with it not reading step 1 or step 2. Just make sure it is formatted to fat32, you have the files from inside the folder on the root, and after the dongle does it's thing insert in the far right port.

My important advice would be:

1. Take your time. Do not rush.
2. Make sure to get at least 3 good bios backups. I check them with the e3 nor dump checker and use jhax78's guide to check them also. This is important in case something goes wrong.

So when you get to the step with connect your controller, you shut off the ps3 from the switch or pull the plug? Then insert your dongle and from the red standby light, press power eject within a split second and wait for it to shut off?
What kind of dongle do you have? And is it programmed for downgrade?

I use my psp on firmware 5.50 hen with PSJig app, to enter fsm.

ok first what if i plug usb controller and go throw it what happen

ok i used ps jb2 with my fat ps340g cechh12 the dongle when i insert it nothing hpn when i try your method or the dongle is not working
is there any method els to enter fsm nether than dongle i searched in my town for now one and i cant find just 1 dongle

So what file goes into the downgrade dongle, sorry new to this been reading that there is a firmware for the downgrade dongle designed to work with the e3. i have one on order a PS Jailbreak Modchip

You have to update the psjailbreak with a hex file, it's not updated for the task to enter service mode.

Take a look at this thread. Maybe if you contact that user, they can tell you how they updated their psjailbreak.

Hi, I am new to all this so i apologise in advance. I have bought a ps3 jailbreak dongle and have manged to install all the firmware on the dongle and the back up manager on the external hard drive. I thought changing the firmware would be easy. I am currently on 4.10 and want to know wether i can run on this firmware or if it definitly has to be 3.41? Also do i need to by one of these e flasher chips or can it be done just with software? I dont want to open my ps3 and i only bought the jailbreak as they said it was a plug and play device. Didnt realise it would be this difficult.

To downgrade from OFW 4.10, you will need to use a flasher and open your ps3 to install it.

There is no USB solution to downgrade any ps3 on a firmware higher than 3.55. Your jailbreak dongle would be plug and play if you were on 3.55.

So sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the only way to downgrade is to buy a flasher and take your ps3 apart.

The e3 flasher will only work on nor chip models.

Progskeet will work on both nor and nand.
