If you flashed a bad backup to the ps3's nor, and don't have a good one(from the same console), then I dont think it can be recovered.

You said you put all switches down. I leave the last switch up, from when I do the e3_downgrade.bin, until I remove the flasher from the ps3.

Not sure it makes a difference, but it may be y u can't enter FSM at that step.

After reading through 24 pages on page 19 I see a guy who did not put the PS3 into FSM mode using a dongle, he skipped the step and it worked, so my question is , is a dongle really necessary (you have mentioned in a few posts on this thread that it is, but still just want to be sure).

also, how do I turn my Nexus One on CM7 into a dongle (any links with a tuto would be appreciated).

Yes you need a dongle. That user on page 19 had already used the dongle to get into FSM. So they skipped that step because the ps3 was already in FSM.

I am not sure about Nexus One, but there is a list of devices you can use, somewhere. Search for psfreedom compatibility list.

I use my psp with an app called psjig. Only works on 5.50 firmware.
