Downgrade was not mentioned for use only with PSjig, you must use E3/hardware to do that step.

Perhaps I'm not understanding you, but you cannot downgrade without hardware. It would have been plastered around everywhere if this was the case: hence why @playerkp420 hasnt made a video of

downgrading without the E3 Flasher using the Psjig Firmware and any necessary files to downgrade from 4.11 to 3.55?

I was unaware on higher firmwares you could get into and out of FSM? I thought if you managed to get in your console was stuck until it was hardware restored/downgraded. Perhaps I am wrong.

@DEFAULTDNB is correct. You need a hardware flasher to downgrade from 4.11. And you can't enter fsm on 4.11 or you will be stuck with no way out.

You need a flasher to flash a patched dump or e3 flasher to flash the e3_downgrade.bin. Then you can downgrade in fsm. And since you will end up at 3.55, you will be able to exit fsm.

I understand @JustThatDude 's enthusiasm and I think he should read up a load more to see what is actually achieveable, and you never know he may build on it in future to bring us software downgrade without DeMonHaD3Z bull-crap.

@JustThatDude perhaps you should look not only at FSM modes and what might be do-able with further research, but also delve into syscalls to see if you can figure out what they tried to do in MAD downgrader... just a thought.

Hey guys i just wanted to know if i can use my flash.bin file created from gitbrew dump_flash_pkg to flash my ps3 i used this pkg file when i was on CFW 3.55 a while ago before i had the e3 flasher installed but i just wanted to know if that was possible if so do i just change the name to bkpps3.bin then flash it or what.

Yes. You can. But I think you need to use flowrebuilder to byte reverse it. Then rename to bkpps3.bin.

Like i said i find all the stuff of the Ps3 interesting. Would I like to look deeper into Demonhades work on the Mad Downgrader, yes. Going to be busy with school as i just started online for geometry so I most likely can not program for anything till July. I have always believed in open source and will share anything i find. If i do end up finding something better than the Dh MAD Downgrade I will just tell people where to start like i said I'm probably not going to be doing a lot of programing. Anyways going to go start some of my leasons. I will post if i find anything today useful about syscalls or lv2diag.self
