I really don't know what to expect from the e3 team. They said they were going to release a nand version of their flasher in a couple weeks. That was back in Nov. 2011.

Dump check
@ playerkp420
Hey i was checking my original ofw 3.73 dump with http://www.ps3devwiki.com/index.php?...lash#NOR_Flash so every file matched the same size on their except for 3 of my files which are asecure_loader folder size- 58.2 KB (59,600 bytes) size on disk- 60.0 KB (61,440 bytes) ros0 folder size- 5.68 MB (5,959,476 bytes) size on disk- 5.73 MB (6,017,024 bytes) ros1 folder size- 5.17 MB (5,429,432 bytes) size on disk- 5.22 MB (5,480,448 bytes) and these are the file sizes of my ofw 3.73 that i patched the only file that stayed the same size is the asecure_loader folder ros0 folder size- 5.23 MB (5,490,384 bytes) size on disk- 5.28 MB (5,541,888 bytes) and the ros1 folder is the same size as ros0 folder now my question is... is this regular did this happen to any one else you know of those this mean i have a bad dump? and im not to sure if i patched it right but i followed this guide http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/E3#Error_Codes |

@ikeunit17
:
the only thing bad/weird from the ofw 3.73 dump is ROS1 size, normally it would be 5.23 MB(24 files) (5,490,384 bytes) for 3.55 instead of 5.17MB the differents is file: lv2kernel.self -- 1.45 MB (1,526,296 bytes) yours is 1.39 MB (1,465,344 bytes) why? no clue there checking ofw/cfw 3.55 extracted lv2kernel.self file, compare them with HxD, they are identical = 1.45 MB (1,526,296 bytes) ROS0= 3.73 = 25 files = 5.68 MB (5,959,476 bytes) = correct all the rest, per console data, also asecure_loader folder (metldr 58.2 KB (59,600 bytes = E8D0 ) = correct. Code:
08 CECHLxx / CECHPxx (VER-001) E8 D0 0E 89 2EAF0 2E AB 2E AB since the ros folders are patched with 3.55 and ur per console info is complete it must be OK cuse it gets overwritten anyway while downgradingcorrect me if wrong anyone... |

I am getting error code 11001000 now. I successfully backed up the bios, but now when I try to load the e3 downgrade file, I get this code. I am on a CECHK 01 with a DIA-002 motherboard on 4.10 right now. I thought this model was compatible, the error code listings say that this code is from "Metldr.2 model undowngradable". Help please!

there are no DIA-002 with metldr2 (unless it is a refurb), so the error is caused by bad clipping.
upload dump so everyone (capable of using Validation wiki page) can prove it is a bad dump, or prove it is a refurb.

Here is a dump of the nand. I dont see how the clip could be bad because all
other functions work. I can still read the nand, all lights are functioning properly. I was hoping to not have to reseat the thing for the 80th time. :/ Been through taping, coins, cardboard, now on duct tape and it seemed to be working! |

for starters, it is NOR, not NAND.
100% it is bad, as it is only 2.70 MB RAR'ed. 19.21% is 00's / 14.32% is FF's
reclip, and redump.
