I had that happen, but for me I had mixed up my esata cables

I was using E3 eSata Station, but I also have Thermaltake eSata Station.

Try using a different esata cable or make sure the connection is good.

yea was the esata cable.

And now im stuck at the QA flag part Just get a black screen and it doesnt kick back to the menu

Try it again then

5. Go to Toggle QA app on the XMB and click X. 6. You will here a beep and see a blackscreen, then it will return to the XMB. If it doesn't beep and return to XMB, reboot and try again.

If still nothing, just try option 7 and see

7. Then navigate to Network settings and press L1,L2,L3,R1,R2, and down on the d-pad.

Make sure to connect the blu-ray drive, before running toggle qa app.

Yes. I usually remove the flasher after downgrading to Rogero. Then I put the PS3 back together, with new thermal compound applied.
Then I continue with the guide from "Qa flag".

Hi, i follow your guide and when i get to chapter 2, part 1, i got a black screen! =(

Then, after trying many times that step, me and my brillant mind decided to take out the hdd and formated in my computer, now, i got nothing!, Please if you can help would be great!.

I replied to your message. But I will answer here too, in case someone else has the same problem later.

If the e3_downgrade.bin completed, with no error, then you can continue with:

8. TURN OFF POWER BY SWITCH OR PULL POWER CABLE. 9. Insert your downgrade dongle in the right USB port. 10. Plug in power cable or switch back on.

I'm afraid not, the e3_downgrade.bin could not complete without errors. There were a few blue lights liting, but actually i don't remember which.

So, here is the situation:

The ps3 starts (no video, no audio, no hdd activity), but i can not shut it off from buttom. (only pressing it by 10 seconds.)
The hdd is formated outside the ps3 and put it back to esata station.

Any idea on how to even rescue it to ofw 4.21? Thanks

You have to make sure the clip is secure. And do the e3_downgrade.bin again. After it completes without error, you can continue. Even if there is a blackscreen.

What happen was the clip wasn't secured and lost its good connection.
