Hi there,

Thanks for the time and effort in putting up this guide. I have been following up this thread ever since I got my courage to open up my PS3!

I am currently in the stage of verifying my dumps. I have sent the email to dumpcheck and waiting for feedback.

However, I am stuck here.. I think I have taken the first dump using the update.bin (on the root of Download to any pack folder). Since I got only one backup and I wanted to be sure, I have gone ahead and installed the newer firmware version which takes three backups(downloaded from e3 site). But When I try to verify the dumps, the dump created using the older firmware seems to be fine when checked using HxD, whereas in the newer dumps created using the newer version of the firmware downloaded from e3 site, the values for 00 and FF seems to be out of range(00 values are 17.68% -- less than 18.38%). I have done twice, both times the values seem to be off the range. I have tried to prepatch them using Auto NOR patcher and still the values seem to be out of range?

When i tried to flash the newer firmware again to eliminate any error in firmware update, by mistake I have used the older firmware (28.10 version file). The new dump (only one instead of three - thats how i found this error) created seem to have the same problem (00 values out of range)! Have I spoiled my e3 flasher?

Thanks

If you backup dumps are not identical, you need to secure the clip better.

The Qa Flag step and install OFW step, is dehashing. So once you are finished with this guide you are fully dehashed, and on the CFW of your choice.

Hi, Thanks! I have secured the clip again better. When I tried to take the backup dump now, I am getting 11000100 error! When I checked the PS3DevWiki it says, "Not the right PS3 for this backup". It says (Already used e3 flasher on 1 console). This is the only console on which I am trying. Can you help.

I did use 3 different firmwares. Since I had some issue with the dump created using the default firmware that came along with the flasher, I tried to use the 3 dump firmware (2011.11.22 upgrade). Only this time, I put my SF card and restarted PS3. Without knowing what to do next, out of desperation and eagerness ( )to get something working as earlier, I used the older version again(2011.10.28 update). I am stuck now with the 11000100 error. All these firmware were used from the E3 Flasher files (from E3 downloads website)

You should not updated the E3 Flasher to the new update since it will only work on the original PS3 you downgraded with.
i do not know if you update it back to 28.10.2011 update and check again

I have refixed the clip and taken the backup NOR dumps now. I am stuck with the same issue again.
(TRVK_PRG0: [DANGER] - EFB154C23126CE3661E4F35E587E821B). This was the same issue reported earlier with my dump sent yesterday. After this, I have reinstalled OFW 4.21 and managed to open the console multiple times and yet again, i am stuck here..

What should I do?

HD upgrade while on Rogero's CFW 4.30

First of all, thanks @playerkp420 about the amazing TUT and bringing my PS3 happier once more.

To the point... Could someone explain me how to upgrade the HD of my CECH 2101A PS3. I mean, which steps should I take to change for a larger hd?

I'm on Rogero's CFW 4.30 v2.05

Thanks.

[EDIT]

Another doubt of mine is if I can use this TUT to downgrade and install a CFW on a 4.31 OFW PS3, of course, attending the Hardware compatibility.
