sony is chasing down devs now? when did they start doing that I thought they backed off when they were going lose the case against Geohot because they actually commited computer fraud when they removed other os. is there any devs that have been arrested or gotten C&Ds from sony?

no xlink is kind of a VPN that links systems for lan games over the internet. they dont need to even be in the same country as you and it'll work but it only works for games that have a lan or system link option

Cool, looks like it'll work fine since I plan on doing that with shooters I already checked are system link (Wikipedia XD); I assume that's only on Xbox sin jaapsander stated there was no online playing when you hacked a PS3, or was he refeering to PSN only?

no some ps3 games use lan but its no called system link. "system link" is just what microsoft calls Lan games on xbox.

Cons:
manufacturer removes features
piracy/backups are not as simple
memory management sucks ass
greedy scene

hackedXbox360: Pros
better memory management
all games can be pirated
Better scene
My friends have xboxes
Gears of war...
Cons:
hardware not as reliable
no bluray
lousy (?)

Both consoles will be able to play online, at least xbox with my friends
I can't think of anything else since I'm very sleepy.
Turns out I change my choice and wouldn't consider getting a ps3 unless FW4.00 is hacked, thanks everyone for their answers, they have been really helpful

dude if you want to play shooters+online id say get a pc you can get a base p.c for the same price as an xbox then just upgrade the graphic/cpu later just make sure u get a good board!

I'd like to mention that the PS3 is easier to hack since it's just a CFW installation.

360 on the other hand needs soldering, parts, etc. So you're better off buying an already hacked 360 or hand it over to a pro to do it for you.

Easy ?!!!! For 3.60 + firmwares u need progskeet and e3 flashers to downgrade and jailbreak which can become real pain but i m sure u mean 3.55 and less firmwares which r hard to find now

Because the way you go about joining an arena on XLinkKai is through a dedicated port un related to PS3 or XBOX servers...
