Yup, Most ethernet cables can stream data as fast as 15-20mb a second. If your using Gigabite then it can go from 60-70mb+.

Well since the ps3 is like 300 feet away from my computer...THAT is why I am forced to have it wireless...if my computer was RIGHT next to my ps3 then ya it'd make sense to have it wired. :P Except wired still has to do with connection speed. I know for a fact because my computer it self is wired to my fathers computer in the living room...and the connection sucks ass.

You don't know a lot what you are talking about, three people have told you that wired is faster, yet you chose to disagree.

The wireless at a maximum on the PS3 is 54MB

The minimum wired is 100MB
The maximum wired is 1000MB

Wired or Wireless has nothing to do with connection speed to the internet, in fact it has nothing to do with the internet.

Transferring a file wired to and from the PS3 to a PC, will always be faster than downloading a file from the internet, at current internet speeds.

In my house, everything is wired and both my computer and PS3's are a good bit away from the router, i would actually do away with WiFi completely in my house, if i didn't need it for my Tablet.

wired is faster, fact! (not aimed at you GregoryRasputin, Im know you made a typo when you said wireless was faster lol)

300ft.. id still have it wired (because I can, if you cant, fair enough, but your still wrong about the speeds) the only reason i have my wireless enabled on my router is for laptops, iphone ipads etc..

As for the comment
Transferring a file wired to and from the PS3 to a PC, will always be faster than downloading a file from the internet, at current internet speeds.
for some reason thats not true in my case (Gb lan, full duplex Filezilla) I must have something set up wrong lol

LOL...wow, you have no idea what you're talking about dude.

No, but hopefully when someone makes ISO mounting work without needing Cobra, this feature should work immediately.

PS. I'm not a cobra owner, nor do I intend to buy any such dongles.

Well, I have it set up and working, as in, multiman will find an ISO I just created on my pc..

Really good feature, something very useful to me as my internal HDD on my ps3 is not massive, Im constantly transferring games..

Obviously this is possible now, just need somebody to make it work without a dongle.....

That's true...these features will be implemented for everyone to use but it will take a lot of time it seems.
