Guys for some reason my 3.41 PS3 lost its blu ray. Now its not the blu ray drive and its not the ribbon cable.
It has to be something on the mainboard.

Any way of course with no comms between mobo and logic board homebrew wont work.

So my question is, is there anything I can do or firmware to install that can bypass the logic board check and will allow me to run multiman etc ?

You can replace the logic board with a new one then remarry the logic board to your motherboard. There is info on how to do this on ps3devwiki. I would give u a link but I'm on my phone. Just search Google remarry blue ray drive ps3devwiki.

Hi mate yes I know about that I have loads of logic boards here but the problem is there is no communication between motherboard and logic board.

I did go back to 2.30 and try the remarry software on Sunday but it does not see the drive.

I have also tested other fully working drives and the disc wont even go in.

It is like the ribbon cable between drive and motherboard is not even there. I have tried 4 different ribbon cables.
Like I say it was working 100% I watched a blu ray movie on Friday night but then on Saturday it was dead. Something on the motherboard must have blown but its finding out what.
I was hoping just to install kmeaw and multiman and few games and give it my 6 year nephew but nothing runs because there is no communication between motherboard and drive.

Oh yeah that sux. I think there is a way to bypass the blue ray drive to install the firmware. But any homebrew or PSN titles will just black screen without a logic board being seen by the motherboard.
