I am currently a student studying 3D modelling and animation design at uni, so this would be interesting to me!

The primary program we use is Maya...bit of a learning curve!

I started to get really into it, trying to convert / scale / tweak models from NFS etc to work with a simulator for PC called "Live for Speed" but when it came to textures I just got lost! Mapping them out is a nightmare, at least for that sim, so I haven't been at it since.. Someone made a mod for the M6 anyway so I had no desire anymore! =P

It's a great skill though, would love to see peeps work!

I never even thought of that, its opened up a new idea for a project anyway. Its only in the last semester where we started digital work, but it was everything from modelling, rendering, key framing, animating then editing.

Think i'd prefer to see others work first before putting mine out there :P Im not quite up to scratch yet and had to work in a limited timeframe.

Has anyone heard of the 11 second club? They use pre-rigged models and then you are given a sound clip from a movie to animate to every month. Theres some really good work on there!

I've been modelling a wolverine character for university, and it will be up once its done. I use 3ds max for modelling as that is what they are teaching and mapping can be a pain.

That looks good and looks more than decent enough to be in a PS3 homebrew game. When the new Homebrew Engine is released, you should give it a try CrystalWolf.

Heres an m4 I did for fun... Its not for a game or anything as its poly count is way way to high but I just wanted to see how detailed of a mesh I could make... I never got around to texturing it but here it is:

And another view...

Anyway... what you guys think?
