sony are all nice when they take money, but as soon as you need support, its ****e. i have a 2 year warrentee on my laptop, and the button came off after a month..they wont repair it .. ****ers.apple would give you a new lappy.. although.. apple are crap too

Wow this is completely stupid. But yeah I'm sure 99% of PS3hax members like Sony's hardware and ONLY the hardware, if you see what i mean.
I was going to suggest looking for prepaid cards on ebay, but @GregoryRasputin 's option looks even better, if you can get the code immediately from them. Thanks for the info Greg xD

I think it is more a political issue. I think $ony has some demands for opening a PSN store in a country and the Romanian government can't meet the demands or maybe the other way around.

Just like Google and China...

Do yourself a favor sell it & get a jailbreak & stick it to them ! I would if that happened to me .Sorry to say this ,but that is me ,under those circumstances if i could not get on to buy then i would use another alternative ! I am tired of crap from sony ,this is why i have not been on PSN for almost 1 year ,i was tired of the way they treat people & the thought of them logging me watching netflix & playing games on psn & logging period ! I lost interest

I dont give 2 ships anymore about psn now . I used to be on psn 24/7 for years & there ways just really got to me & i said F U to there PSN !

Sell it ,get yourself a PS3 CFW 355 & a xbox used = Best of both worlds

Play on xbox live & rape sony for not supporting + being a holes to customers .Selfish bastards ,whatever the case is ,it is bullox !

finally after storming their forums and start to make some waves (users agreed with me )
more users with the same problem ,(and same treatment) come to light so in order to keep this quiet

1 .sony explain to me that ps3 are sold in the "grey area" in my country and they don't know nothing about it.

me >>> after showing them from where I bought (afiliated SONY store)the ps3 and the romanian SONY's site!!(caugth with their pants down ...and a dead cow in their yard)

this came after I complained to our local "consumer protection" (this time they know my email)

reply ... we are sorry for your inconvenient ,PSN is in course to be implemented in your area ,as possible we can ,in the mean time you can use your account how it is registered ,and after we finished psn network implementation in your area you can input your real address.
