we have the keys to sign homebrew on PSP for OFW (EBOOT.PBP files) as far as i no the ps3 uses the same files for minis (to a extent) IF homebrew was made with EBOOT.PBP (LiKE A FAKE MiNi SO TO SPEAK) could we use the PSP keys to sign it for ps3? their must be some sort of level of trust between the psp & ps3 also carldenning the method im using for installing pkg dont work on 3.55 official or custom FW (dont no why but it just wont work) much respect to you kakaroto for all your hard work & hours of time spent trying to progress the scene forward much respect Last edited by bigfishbad; 02-15-2012 at 03:33 PM. |

What you have mentioned was possible long ago. PS3proxy allowed us to redirect a PSN store link to a .pkg file on the PC. Sony has since blocked this. It was used to get many of us in the Warhawk beta test years ago.

I'm glad that I seem to have provoked some thought on the subject, yet it sounds like I have brought up maybe an old outdated process?
As I own a 3k model, I'm taking an approach on this system that it seems like others are not??? I could be wrong. I just assumed no one was working on these. Thanks all for chiming in, I will report what I have found over the next few days. I am going to observe watching demos, and bought .pkgs being parsed. Then A/B the same bought .pkg with a pirated. Mess around with some hybrids and all sorts. If only basic access to the file system was simple. |

if you were going to continue on the thread and wanted to ask it on the side perhaps, but a new thread is generally preferred to avoid thread hijacking and to allow the info to be easily found/searched later

abdelkarim - If it's a question you want me personally to answer I would be happy to. Send me a PM. I think anything other than the topic I started should be outside of of this thread.
ON Topic, I have has some success via a 'man in the middle' spoofing PSN attack on my 3k slim. I want to spend more time before I post anything though. Kind of exciting, but don't want to get anyone's hopes up. |
