guys i cant be able play 720 and 1080p videos for a long time even with this new update. it always says" forcing level 4.1 content for 5.1 somthing... may break video playback....bla blaa...." can somebody tell me why? official ps3 player can open the Avatar movie while showtime cant?? any idea would be great..

As some others said can't play mkv burned to disc. I was able to when showtime pretty new. Can't anymore. Another release broke my Revision 3 plugin (got that sorted) Regular Showtime and Redquirrel version is confusing. I put a 750GB drive in my PS3 show I just FTP movies over but it sucks not being able to play from BDR. I'm using official 3.4RC I think

why is it that the sound is distorted somethimes for about 3-6 seconds when i start playing mp3's in showtime??

my movies seem to freeze on a single frame and the audio and subs keep playing perfectly
i did not face this problem before 4.00.00 mm and showtime

now i do face this problem
but this does not occour on the normal ps3 player

All you have to do is find the (showtime.self) from the version that worked well. Once you obtain the proper self. Go to dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR, look for the (showtime.self) -> copy the one that worked over the one that is in the USRDIR now.

You can try looking for it here .The ones that say showtime.self ,are for copying to multiman USRDIR manually.

If you know which multiman version INCLUDED showtime that worked. If you still have it the full pkg.? If worse comes to worse. Get correct multiman.version.pkg you know that included the working showtime for you. Get a pkg extractor & extract the full multiman package & look for the showtime.self. That is if it was included in the package .Then if proper copy to multiman showtime.self to dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR !

showtime.self is what you are looking for in a extracted package. Magic package v 1.0 ,will extract it for just fine ..

hey man tried the ftp the .self file into the hdd0/bles but i run the rebug and there is no file/folder with the specified name on my hdd0

also the installing the oldest pkg file of showtime did not work for me

i have the rebug 3.55.2 with the update 6 loaded

damn man
still the same problems
the video keeps frezing for mp4 files just normal avi files play fine
i mean even the normal ps3 player can play these files perfectly

I play rmvb movies, but showtime prompted " The CPU is too slow to decode the movie", and the subtitle does not match to the movie, it is really lagging..
