E3 Flasher Questions
Wondering if some people can answer my questions as I'm interested in buying a E3 Flasher.
-With the E3 Flasher am I able to switch between OFW and CFW without formatting the HDD? -When downgrading do I need to format the HDD? -What's the best method to use if I just want to do challenge lobbys on W@W and switch patches every once in a while? Would I require two HDD? -What bundle of the E3 Flasher should I get if I want a method like the one I stated above? -With does dual boot do exactly? Thanks to those who answer my questions and I hope this is in the right section. |

With e3 flasher you can switch between OFW and CFW with fast dual boot. But you will need 2 HDDs.
Downgrading does format your HDD, so use the backup utility before downgrading. I don't know much about challenge lobbies. Sorry. I would recommend the E3 Limited version for dual booting. Dual boot does exactly that "dual boot". You can either boot into OFW or CFW. You will need a HDD for OFW and another for CFW. All my answers are assuming you have a nor chip model PS3, that is downgradable. Check here to see what your PS3 is.

Challenge lobbys oops I mean like having access to the HDD with something like blackbox and just upgrading to the newest firmware to play with the stuff I added onto my HDD when I'm on 3.55 then to newest firmware to use it online because the rebug online hack is gonna get patched sooner or later. I'm sure you can do this without an E3 Flasher. Because I know a guy who has a friend with a 3.55 jb on his ps3 and basically when he wants to change the patch (Access the HDD) for W@W he changes the patch on his friends ps3 then supposedly transfer the data from the 3.55 ps3 to his 4.11 ps3. But would'nt the ps3 ask to update the ps3 if he was to transfer data or would both consoles just need to switch the internet options off and the legit ps3 would need to update or would it brick. This is very confusing... Slim HDD keeps portions of data on nor chip and rest of it on HDD but the phat ps3 keeps it entirely on the nor chip so it would'nt be an issue for the phat one because your only replacing HDD content which has no firmware on it while the slim has portions of the data on HDD and would it just ask to update or would the slim brick once the HDD transfer is done.............confusing as hell....anyone spread some light on my situation as I don't want the E3 Flasher if it can't use a HDD from 3.55 on the newest firmware unless you can use 3.55 HDD on 4.11 HDD or something..... I just want something device/method that would allow me to change the contents of the HDD for patchs whether it's e3 flasher or some other device or I just gotta get other damn ps3 on 3.55 .

dude make your typing more easy to read... if yu have a e3 flasher like i do, then yu can always do it my way. 1. install the update for mw3 2. install the proper eboot hack thing 3. update the ps3 4. boom there you go if yu want to change the patch just downgrade again and repeat steps |
