PS3 SFO Edit Not Saving Changes?
Not sure if this is where to post this.
I tried using Hellcat's(?) Param SFO Editor(Version 0.80) to edit a couple games to be playable with remote play on the PS Vita. However, when I check the box for remote play, save, then quit, the file is still not checked for remote play when I reopen it in the editor. Am I doing something wrong? Are all PS3 games able to be played using remote play(without black screen crashing)? Thanks in advance. |

Is bumping within reason allowed?
I don't remember if it wasn't or where to find the forum rules. |

For the little i know about param.sfo and editing them (thanks to the master of them, Sandungas)
there are fews reasons why your news sfo will not be use by the ps3 because she will keep in memory the previous. It s still a bit confusing somes parts of your problem but: try to boot first the game, come back to xmb and launch again (this time, most of the cases will be fine) or install your news sfo from pkg. It can be because of the type of game itself, It can be because of your sfo editor who can have fews bugs/ don t work with fews games. Try the news sfo editor of Deroad. After you was able to load your news sfo with remote play, there are still possible problem: The eboot game/ homebrew wasn t build with that function (not sure about official game but if so it will be probably olds games) But let s say you was fine with your sfo and eboot (most of the time), you can still have a problem from the device itself. At this point, most of the problem will be at intro, so if you can skip it by pressing any button even it s black screens, it can be fine after. You have a list on the wiki. There are fews remote plays mode and i didn t check so well the news about vita, so here again it s confusing for me but: remote play for pc (&phone?), remote psp, and remote ps vita are differents. I don t know for sur which the ps vita is using on 3.55 since i don t have one. If you said the type of game you are trying itcan be helpfull to understand your problem.

Yay, someone finally replied. :D
Well, the param.sfo isn't changing in the editor itself, not just when I put it in the PS3. I'm using the Vita on a PS3 with Kmeaw(?) CFW 3.55, and the games I'm trying to edit to be playable on remote play are: Fallout: New Vegas Dragon Age II Little Big Planet 2 Call of Duty 4 Call of Duty 5 In order to use the Vita on my PS3 I registered it as a mobile phone. |

Thanks you for your informations,
The first thing will be to edit them with a more recent version of sfo editor but even that, May be Fallout Las vegas can be problematic or Call of duty 4 but not the others. Have you try only the first game to edit? If not my little advice will be to try first with Dragon Age II or Little big planet and after the others. Do you have black screen crash or error message on the screen of the vita when you are on remote? If you can test, please try to play under remote control with any ps1 game disc or psn ps1 classic (without need of edit) you have on your ps3 or even to test with ps3 disc (so without editing the sfo) it ll help for me to figure out the remote play ps vita is using.

I've also heard that the Vita can use remote play to play Battlefield 3.
Afterwards I have to hard reset my PS3 because it becomes frozen on the black screen.
They all work great without editing. |

Oh, if you have time, you can be really helpfull for what i researching. Thanks you a lot for your answers.
It confirm you are running your vita under ps vita remote play since if it was psp, you needed to edited the ps3 games. That s a good news. Dont take me wrong, but editing sfo is in the details so if my questions looked simples, i wanted to make sur about something since i don t have ps vita. If i understand right you have 2 problem: one is about editing sfo about somes games. It s rare but can happens if your sfo editor isn t recent version. ( i ll pm you a link for it) Second problem is black screen of somes games. Check this list, and if you want to help you can add the games who arent on the list. http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Remot..._compatibility For the black screen crash, there are not so much to do, but if you can identify the introduction video and change for an other but otherwise... I m thinking about fews things, please check your pm in 15mn or so.

Okay, but I'm not sure how to use the editors that do not have interfaces to enable remote play.
