I think Sony could crack TB/Cobra in a hour.
The copy protection was to try to prevent cloners and to hide their custom keys from the public. I think the dongle works by using the USB exploit to put the ps3 into partial debug mode. Allowing it to run fake fself eboots. |

************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* But, it could have been greedy dogs from the start doing it for both reasons :D Personally, I dont think Sony is overlooking this. From what happened with the other devs before Im thinking they do some investigation in private, trying to track them down first before breaking down doors again. They have agreements with Publishers to safeguard IP using their system, and by not doing anything will leave them open to litigation. We seen this when the CFW was seen as a serious breach last year and publishers demand answers. Remember, some games are not owned by them, but rather monster size publishers who develop for more than one console. |
