No power on lcd display for e3 flasher

Well, I have gone through again and again to check if I am connecting the clip from my E3 Flasher Limited to the right NOR (which with my CECH-2001B, looks like the one with MXIC on the motherboard). I have tried connecting the clip onto the chip both ways, but I still don't get any power on the lcd display once I get everything reconnected.

I do still get power from my PS3 once I plug in the power cord, so what am I doing wrong. I'd love to see a photo of the clip-on on the right chip on a CECH-2001B motherboard, as I am guessing the right spot by this video, even though I know that's not the same type pf PS3 I have.

That is the way to install, like in the video. The chip should say samsung or spansion on it. Make sure the clip is pressed firmly down until it clicks and tape it down. I also tape where it connects to the card. Then plug in to the sata connections.

The flasher gets power from the chip, so if you have no power it is not connected.

Crud

I took a better look at the softboard on the clip, and it looks like it got bent in a few spots from my handling.

Guess I'll be buying a new clip suit.

Still nothing

Well, I finally got my new clip-on suit, only to still get the same result - nothing lighting up after putting the ps3 back together again. So, anyone know a solution I might partake in?

This happened to A LOT of people. Make sure the clip was facing the right way when you installed it. If you installed it up-side down you will get your samer result, not to mention you're forgetting to solder. (If you want dual-boot)

It Works!!!

OMG, it works now!

I did have the clip on the NOR chip right, but it wasn't staying on without a new piece of scotch tape and some extra pressure in the clip after it was taped. The board lit up, which scared me at first since I didn't think it was going to work now, but it did. I'm now downgrading my PS3 as I type this. Thank to you all who commented.
