It needs peek and poke, so 3.55 DEX only, not higher.
EDIT : That made me think, downgrading a DEX is rather easy to do, so you can still have all the advantages of CFW with a DEX converted machine, you'll need to switch firmwares a lot though. And people will need to work on DEX MFW's I guess. So I guess this is a good compromise, the only thing it doesn't allow is playing backups of newer games (and PSN), but originals will work at least. That isn't exactly a bad thing in my opinion, but I'd like to see the TB guys shut down some time. If this does work out, this will be rather interesting. Maybe enough to make me regret selling my CFW PS3, but there's still my brothers (who plays on mine all the time and never on his because of online lol) so I think I can live with it. Can't wait to see how this turns out ![]() Lastly, I have to thank you guys who made this possible.

No dev network acess its whitelisted as pereb said, converts cant go to dev networks anymore.
yes i believe you can update to any firmware version you want, you are converted after all, but i would still proceed with caution. use a flasher! Edit I would like to point out the fact that, something seems to be off on the guide the IDPS should be encrypted, unless the tools from graf (on the guide) can decrypt the IDPS so you can change the values, and then encrypt it back i don't see that working, with that said, people with flashers please verify that part.

Well I can't say for sure, but it seems some steps are missing to me. My guess is that you need to replace the 6th byte to 82 on your decrypted IDPS, then re-encrypt it, edit the IDPS from your NOR dump with the new encrypted one, and flash.

^^ Exactly Pereb, the method is somewhat correct, but the algo is still missing.

What about using that tutorial with objectivesuites, and editing that 82 byte on the request_idps.txt? lol (if said txt file contains the decrypted IDPS that is)
Although if that guy was blocked by PS3devwiki admins, this starts to smell like fake.
