help in buying a ps3
guys i am new to ps3 community ... after using xbox for almost a year i have decided to try ps3 now... not that i am a fan boy or something ... its just that i love gaming ... and living in an era of xbox and ps3 ...i want to enjoy and experience both of the console....
my question is i will be buying a new ps3 320 gig ... now i have herd that only console running at 3.5 can be JB'n.... any idea how can i determine while buying it ?? and one more thing is 320 gig enough ??? i would really appreciate any sort of help people ... thanks !!! |

do what i did,
I bought a brand new 120 GB PS3 slim model...these models where introduced on retail store shelves back in 2008 and discontinued in 2009. OFW 3.55 didn't come out until Dec 2010. So if you buy any ps3 new (or one that never been updated to the latest firmware) will have OFW less then 3.55, then you can safely install OFW 3.55 yourself and you will be all set for JB. Look on ebay for these older PS3, they are cheaper in price and do what you want it to do. Keith |

Just go to your local game store and say you want to buy a used PS3 but you want to check the firmware because you want 3.55 or lower.
I do that every time I buy one.

U will have to buy a used ps3 that at one time had ofw 3.55 on it, else u get lucky and can find a brand new older model, I seen them on some acution sites from time to time but u never know what ur going to get.

If you can find a game bundle that comes with a lower firmware game, it will come with that firmware the game needs.
Like COD Black OPS bundle comes with 3.50
