Currently there are 2 real options: (for current 6.XX FW, you could use 5.50 GEN-D3 or something but that is "old" and you would need to patch newer games...)
1) Pro-cfw, which is a lite-CFW that has to be started manualy (except for 6.20..) after each shutdown but works for ALL psp's. Because it is a LCFW you dont really change anything in your psp, It just boots in OFW. more info: http://code.google.com/p/procfw/ 2)Custom Firmware 6.60 ME-1.6: This a permanent CFW (interesting for lazy people) but it only works for psp 1000 and 2000. more info: http://pspcustomfirmware.com/psp-cfw-6-60-me-1-6.htm when talking about functionallity, in general, they are more or less the same, just use the one you prefer You have a phat so you could use a permanent cfw so i suggest you take option nr2. ( i have a slim so I'm stuck with a LCFW ) Just download the file on the website and follow the installation steps: 1. copy UPDATE folder at ms0:/PSP/GAME/. 2. Put 6.60 official update at ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/660.PBP, or let the program download it for you can use a wifi connection. 3. Run installer from xmb. You can find the official update here: http://pspcustomfirmware.com/psp-fir...p-ofw-6-60.htm hope this helps EDIT: (btw, the psp is "completely" hacked so it doesn't matter that you have OFW 3.52. You could just go out and buy a new psp and put LCFW on it...) Last edited by getout; 03-22-2012 at 02:14 PM. |

If you put 6.60CFW on it, you can safely go online/PS Store, etc.
It's basically OFW with kernel access and unsigned code ability.
