*Please note that myself nor ps3hax.net will not responsible if it turns out to be a virus and screws up your computer* I know you have Deep Freeze, just had to thrown that in. Like I said I bought this from cinaviafix.com and I had no problems none of my anti-malware programs went off. Let me know if you encounter any problems. |

Yes I did, it worked for me and continues to work. I looked around for a long time and all the info I found I had to be on a certain firmware. I just wanted a simple fix, and that's what I got. I have a TB external full of movies most are new movies and I haven't had one that wouldn't play on the PS3 now. Before I bought this fix the majority of them wouldn't play.

I just wanted to say Thanks to the OP for this and making available the cinavia fix. I always thought it was a hoax, but it seems to be the real deal legit. I am currently in the process of trying it out.
Since I had already found a definite way to bypass the cinavia audio watermark (and not by too much difference than in the fix you revealed), I was just curious as to what this method was. I thought it was a hoax. By no means is it as easy as they advertise, but at least it's legit. About the warnings of a virus...THERE IS A VIRUS CONTAINED! What comes with the original files from the actual business/website is simple instructions in .pdf form. They do not offer or give any programs to take out/disable the watermark. Those programs are the proprietary property of other companies/businesses. DO NOT RUN THE PROGRAM INCLUDED! Simply read the .pdf and it looks to be all that's needed. Again, thank you OP for offering the $30 instructions that you had gotten yourself. I didn't wish to pay $30 just to satisfy my curiosity. With this and other methods, it seems that Cinavia will be bypassed completely soon enough even as it becomes more and more prominent. Also, supposedly this fix would fix Cinavia Message 1 as well... (which is the one i really wanted to bypass and really hated as it actually stops the movie and doesn't just stop the audio [where you can simply set the date a year later for another 20 mins]) P.S. Just wanted to input the difference in this method. This method does not require one to install a CFW nor does it really remove any such audio watermark. mkv2vob only works with mkv files made directly from the source where the audio uses DTS (which isn't always available). Also, I use PS3 Media Server religiously and know that the Cinavia fix they had before doesn't work anymore (it was in earlier versions but was taken out for some reason.) It looks like it did something similar that the mkv2vob did but can't do it anymore. Maybe Cinavia caught on... It's explained better in the changelog. Also...although I do believe under normal circumstances this information/method is a rip-off at $30, this method and one other method is the only real solution I have found out there on the internet that actually works. And my other personal method is pretty much the same way going about it as the method the OP made available. So I can maybe understand why people would pay that much and/or why someone who figured it out would sell it as a product/business. But as this information just got out here, and if people are savvy enough to get passed the virus alert, the information will be freely out there soon enough. And I don't know how Cinavia will be able to protect it's precious audio watermark by the method the OP made available or the method I had learned. These 2 methods seems to completely invalidate the audio watermark and I don't know how they could modify the watermark that still wouldn't make it invalidated with these 2 methods. What's curious is that when this/Cinavia first came out, experts said that they'd have to zero in on and identify the specific frequencies/hertzes and other such jargon and decode them to disable/invalidate it. No such thing needed...although it did take more than a year and a half to bypass successfully... Things I have found online and tried: I have tried declicking, noise removal, parametric equalizing & normalizing/inverting certain frequencies, transcoding every which way, even turned an avi file into a bluray disc image to see if DVDFab's bypass would work, remade the movie in audio/video programs/suites and also tried and trick it as my own home movie, even slipping in a authentic quality cinavia-certified dvd/bd ripped audio underlying a second audio stream of the movie (some youtube guy said it'll trick the decoders seeing that it has an authentic audio within it), converting said movies to .mkv with DTS audio just to decompile it with mkv2vob, and probably every other method out there outside of running the CFW and/or specifically deleting the files holding the cinavia decoder (which still needs CFW to a degree). :UPDATE: just finished with this method...although it works (bypassed error message 1)...it made watching the movie quite unbearable... the file/pdf mentions that watching cams and TS's will make the movies kinda hard to watch so cant say they didnt warn...but that was a GROSS understatement! It will either require a painstaking amount of work by trial/error to make tweaks so the movie isnt as unwatchable or finding the other method that works...either way, although this works, i wouldnt really suggest it as a viable option unless u are able to better tweak it and/or as a last resort. If anything, it might put one on the track to a better solution (as the one i learned). Last edited by simplepinoi177; 04-06-2012 at 01:24 AM. |

Thank you for the reply! I only posted exactly what I purchased. I tried looking for lots of info and really just wanted something right then and there. I'm sure if I would have looked longer I would have found the information. But the wife wanted to watch some of the movies so I just purchased it. I agree that someone shouldn't be charging for the info, which is why I just uploaded it and shared. I just needed a solution right then and there and that's what I found. I also tried on a cam and it made it worse. But on all the others I had no problem. Thanks again for your reply!
